Oscars 2017: 10 Best Jewels on the Red Carpet

Wonderful statement pieces were abound on the Oscars red carpet this year with much wider selections than the standard white diamond wreath. Taking place on Sunday, February 26 in Los Angeles, the 2017 Academy Awards will no doubt be remembered for its sensational ending - however, there is plenty to note about the jewels too.

Earrings from the new Chopard 'Garden of Kalahari' collection - featuring a 25ct pear and a 26ct heart-shaped diamond - made their red carpet debut on the lobes of Charlize Theron. Jessica Biel made a metallic statement in the β€˜Whispers of the Rainforest’ necklace from the Tiffany & Co. 2017 Blue Book collection. Ruth Negga wore Gemfields rubies in her hair and on her ears in an Irene Neuwirth design.

Dakota Johnson got to take a dip into the Cartier maison archives for her vintage convertible necklace and Darby Stanchfield wore rarely-seen-on-the-red-carpet turquoise. Taraji P. Hensen rocked a major Nirav Modi bib necklace while Isabelle Huppert continued to play it cool with a Repossi ear climber. Karlie Kloss highlighted her long neck with a Nirav Modi collar, Chrissy Teigen glittered in Lorraine Schwartz earrings and Kirsten Dunst tied one on with a Nikawa necklace.
